1812 Review and approval of minutes, unanimous approval

1815 Public comment

  • John Maseng brought up speeding problems. Gave history of speed bumps
    • Action: How can we prevent this? Ask Lyndon Friant.
    • Michael brough up speed humps.  Could we do this as part of road work?  We’ll ask Lyndon Friant.
  • John Maseng brought up Dark Skies.  Do we have in CC&Rs?  No.
    • Add info to Website/FB page with educational material to inform homeowners.
    • Look at how Kanab is doing it.

1825 Standing Reports

  • Roads.  Steve  asked for permission for spend $1K NTE on roadside.  Call next week to approve.
    • Ask for electrician to replace electric box to front gate.  Over by Lots 1 and 2.
    • Have Garkane look at it first.  John Maseng to take picture and send to us.
  • ARB.  Larry.
    • No new home requests, but a BBQ request.
    • A few still need final inspection
    • Need to work with homeowners to get driveways paved ASAP.  Also aprons.
      • Shalyse suggested adding aprons to the dirt road, even part across from firehouse road.  This is HOA property.
  • Finances.  Michael gave summary.  Including
    • Road fund.  Has almost enough $$ to redo all the roads.
    • $30,900 in checking
    • $163,300 in road maintenance account
    • $111,200 in money market account
  • Website.  Will, all billing and permissions are in Will’s control.  Has added all the minutes.  Link to fire pit approval form.  Updated the evacuation plan.  High viz clothing.  Also wants help from homeowners on ideas.

1845 Cave Canyon fire abatement project. Steve provided notes from meeting w/Fire warden and fuels guy.  More information to follow as the work gets awarded.  Homeowners should be able to contract with the vendor tor private property mitigation.  They will have a chipper available this summer to chip.

1853 South Central Fiber Optic project.  John Maseng reported.  SCC has fiber up the road and within the community.  They are now running from road to homes.  See email from Steve about calling Marla at SCC.  Steve gave review of stuff on his property.

1904 Update on SSD/Sewer. Steve gave update.  Still awaiting final numbers on grant and loan %.
