Andy Crofts, Water and Sewer Operations Manager for the East Zion Special Services District spoke at our annual meeting on March 16th 2019 and requested that we inform homeowners that baby wipes should not be flushed down toilets, as they have been identified as the cause of multiple sewer grinders having to be replaced. Baby wipes do not decompose the way that toilet tissue does. Instead, they clog the grinders and cause them to fail. He asks that homeowners post notices in their homes to notify family members and guests that baby wipes must be disposed of in the trash instead, and are definitely not to be flushed down the toilet.
