Closed Fire Season for the State of Utah June 1-October 31, 2019

Beginning June 1, 2019 - October 31 of each year is a closed fires season throughout the State of Utah.   What that means this year is that during the closed fire season you will need to obtain a burn permit for any outdoor debris burning.

Anyone needing a burn permit or needing additional information should contact the Kane County Fire Warden, Spencer Rollo at (435) 819-0671

Please note: Campfires/ Charcoal & Propane fires are still allowed.

Important fire safety reminders:

Please do not leave any open fire unattended. You are responsible / liable for damage your fire may cause.

A wet winter/spring means higher grass and more fuels, increasing the fire hazard when those fuels become dry.

Always maintain a defendable space around buildings.
